let me start by saying i don't ever leave bad reviews but i had to say my experience today was not good. it has been a long time since ive been here but i remember our tab being 100-150 with several platters and drinks. we ordered half tray of langostinos and they barely had sauce and were not fully cooked and the flavor was nowhere near the same not sure if they changed the cook or recipe but it was flavorless for 40 dollars. but what really got me and i understand you have to make profit but 30 dollars for Alfredo pasta with chicken?????? im sorry but my experience told me they decided to lower quality and increase prices. the service was good no shade to them they treated us well but if im gonna spend 100-200 dollars the food better match the price. man that alfredo got me heated.

I’ve been coming here with my family for quite some time, and it’s always a great experience. The food is absolutely incredible, the staff is friendly and attentive, and the restaurant is always clean and welcoming. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for amazing seafood. Mariscos El Charco in Elgin is a great place for fresh seafood and flavorful Mexican dishes. The food was delicious, the portions were generous, and everything tasted fresh and well prepared. The staff was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was really great and positive!!!! I had a very enjoyable experience and would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone who likes seafood and authentic Mexican flavors. I will be coming back!!!!!

Unfortunately had dinner here for fathers day. Food took longer than normal which is understandable for being father’s day. Unfortunately half our party didn’t get food at all, some got it after the rest was done eating. Definitely wouldn’t recommend this place especially after the manager had a chance to make it right on a $1000 tab and couldn’t say sorry or say here $20 off for the inconvenience. Not a way to run the business. Last time I eat here.

I used to come here very often until recently, their service has gone very downhill. I placed an order for pick up, received a message it was ready and when I showed up I still was waiting 10 mins for them to hand me my order and the restaurant wasn’t even busy. As I’m driving back home I realized one of the salsas wasn’t closed properly and it spilled all over the bag and I was also missing my tortillas. Food was cold and didn’t have any flavor. I won’t be coming back here again.
